Sandstone
Sandstone is another type of sedimentary rock. It usually is at ancient beaches, sand dunes, or floodplains. It takes three steps to be formed: sand is deposited and compacted, the water gets squeezed out, and then left-behind materials glue the sediment to make it stick together. Sandstone comes in many different colors, but the most common colors are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray, pink, white, and black. Sandstone is mined by the technique of quarrying, mostly mined where there used to be small seas.
